Awards

This year was a good one. Lance got a certificate for 5/6 areas on the Iowa Test in the top 10% of the nation. He received a certificate for being on the Honor Roll for all 4 terms. He was the district winner for the 5th grade essay contest on the Golden Rule and how it applies to Patriotism. Lucas received the certificate the First Graders get for reading over 100 books for the set amount of time they worked on it. He read around 225. Jessica received the Math, Spelling and Star Student Awards. Jessica started out having a hard time in math this year. She worked really hard to get where she is now. I am really proud of her as I am all of my children.

Happy 11th Birthday Lance

On Friday, we took Lance, Brady, Jes and Lucas to Coldstone for Icecream. Then Kerry took them out to look for frogs. Afterwards they came in and played a game Lance got for his Birthday (Life). It was so funny listening to kids talk about jobs, money and college.
I am so mean. I made Lance eat a TV Dinner for his Birthday. On Wednesday his real Birthday we took Lance to the Miner Diner in Stockton. We didn't do family Birthday Parties or big friend Birthdays this year. Maybe next year.

Heber Creeper

We stayed at the Zermatt Hotel, rode the Heber Creeper, watched the Jazz Game, went swimming and went shopping for summer clothes. It was a little rainy, but I really liked the rain for the train ride. It did feel a little weird buying shorts when it was kind of cold outside.

School Pictures and Report Cards

1st Grade

2nd Grade

5th Grade
Today we went to Parent Teacher Conferences. We received 3rd Term Grades. Jessica and Lucas had 4's with only one 3. 4 is the highest grade they give to 1st and 2nd graders. Lance had A's with only one A-. They all had perfect citizenship. Their teachers all had very nice things to say about them. It was nice to go and receive a good report with good grades. I am very proud of all of them. We also got these cute Spring School Pictures back.

Disneyland

The hotel was 2 seconds from the park. They all fell asleep in the car. Kerry dropped us off in the lobby and I could only get them to the lobby couch by myself. It was pretty hilarious getting them to the room from the lobby.

Grizzly River Rapids, What more can I say?

She didn't like that ride. It was freezing outside and she got all wet. I warned her, but sometimes you just have to see for yourself. Carson was so sweet he felt bad for her and offered her one of his crackers. Everyone was very concerned and that was really nice. We have a great group of friends.

Our Hockey Player

Mickey's House

Crazy Drivers

We went to Disneyland with the Ladles and the Andersons. We had a really great time. It was fun that our kids for the first time would go on all of the rides. We were able to ride the big stuff without taking turns watching the kids.

Spelling Bee Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Grade

This is the girl Rachel in his class that told him on Valentines Day that she loved him. She also told him her mom said not to tell him. He didn't know what to say. I told him to be nice she might be a knock-out some day. Then I said be nice anyway.
This is how Lance looked in every picture we took. Nervous!!! He did really well. He had some hard words. The word that got the last girl out (cute girl in the red shirt) was reminisce. Then Lance had to spell it. Then he had to spell silhouette. Some of the other words he had to spell included ophthalmologist, seismologist, ecclesiastical, hypochondriac, finagle and incorrigible. It was cool that he beat out even the Sixth Graders. He is in Fifth Grade. It is fun to see your child do well and see the fruits of all of their hard work. It was really neat how he was very gracious. Even if he had lost I would still be very proud. He clapped when other kids got their words correct. He worked hard, he did well and I love him no matter what.

Dale Jr #5 Car in The Nationwide Car.

Dale Jr's Trailer Cup Trailer
We went to the Nascar Vegas Races this weekend. We went with Matt and Jen and others from Kerry's work. We had a good time. The weather on Sunday was so great low 70's with lots of sunshine. Greg Biffle won the Saturday Race and STUPID Kyle Busch won the Sunday Race. I like Dale Jr. and Kasey Kahne. They haven't started the season off so good, Oh well.
